- We're planning to put the instance on a more trustworthy host and set up a dedicated Patreon for the instance (partly to help with the inevitably higher hosting costs).

- We're gonna have a much clearer and more detailed rules so people know what kinds of things are and aren't okay and to help prospective users know what kinds of moderation issues we're aware of. (I'll share the draft on our Discord so everyone can take a peek and we can discuss it)

@Sir_Boops My instinct is that it probably is?

I mean, whether the data is coming back or not, I think we're probably interested in moving provider anyway if a fuckup this bad happened and it was the host's fault. And we've used this time off to talk about the various things that Mykola and I have wanted to do about the instance but really lacked the spoons to talk about or arrange normally.

@dzuk looking forward to it. The first thing I said when I joined a.weirder.earth was that I thought it had the best rules of any instance. I think that was something that people read and thought "this is my kind of place." So in my opinion, you're building on something that was already a strength.

I really liked my a.w.e account and am sad to see it go but supportive of whatever comes next.

is it practical or doable for you to have also a liberapay account for the instance? because I'm not on patreon, but on liberapay and it would be very convenient for me!
